Basketball Recap: Seagoville Dragons vs. Kaufman Lions
After flying high against Kimball last Friday, Seagoville came back down to earth. The Seagoville Dragons had to suffer through a 63-31 loss at the hands of the Kaufman Lions. The Dragons were down 48-20 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Kaufman got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaylee Wrenn out in front who earned 17 points along with six steals. Wrenn's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubre Prox, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.
Seagoville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Kaufman, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Seagoville will take on Adamson at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Seagoville will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak dating back to last season alive. As for Kaufman, they will take on Van in a tournament on Thursday. Kaufman knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Van likes a good challenge.
