Football Recap: Berwick Falls to Morgan City in First Game of Season

Berwick kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Morgan City Tigers, falling 40-14. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Despite the loss, Berwick had strong showings from Maddox Sampey, who rushed for 90 yards and one TD, and Carter Dupuis, who picked up 71 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berwick will take on Kaplan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Morgan City, they will head out to square off against Slaughter Community Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
