Soccer Recap: Citrus Hill Wins Going Away Against Hemet

After failing to score in their last match, Citrus Hill made sure to put some goals up on the board against Hemet on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over the Hemet Bulldogs. Considering the Hawks' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Hemet with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jonathan Paiz, Christian Diaz, Emiliano Guillermo, and Jayden Pizano.

Citrus Hill's win bumped their record up to 5-7-9. As for Hemet, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-17.

Citrus Hill and Hemet could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Citrus Hill (ranked 497th) will meet Valley View (ranked 76th) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Hemet will take on Poly at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 852 places (967 vs. 115).
