Baseball Recap: Lincoln North Star Victorious

The Lincoln North Star Navigators earned a 4-1 win over the North Platte Bulldogs on Saturday.

Sam Schaefer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits.

On the hitting side, Kaden Klein was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Mckillip, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Lincoln North Star's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for North Platte, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Lincoln North Star wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Kearney on the 19th. As for North Platte, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-5 win against Holdrege on the 22nd.
