Baseball Recap: Highlands Latin Comes Up Short

Highlands Latin was the 17-4 winner over Atherton when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Highlanders lost 13-2 to the Ravens on Tuesday. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Highlands Latin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Hamilton (Luke), who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that Hamilton (Luke) has hit this season.

Highlands Latin's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Atherton, the victory got them back to even at 8-8-1.

Looking ahead, Highlands Latin will venture away from home to face off against Trimble County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Atherton, they will welcome Francis Parker at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wyverns have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.33 runs per game on average), something the Ravens will no doubt try to take advantage of.
