Flag Football Recap: Cary-Grove Trojans vs. McHenry Warriors

With a playoff win on the line, Cary-Grove rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They pulled ahead with a 28-27 photo finish over the McHenry Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 21-20 two weeks ago.

Despite the loss, McHenry still got an impressive performance from Addison Hoffman, who picked up 91 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and also rushed for 66 yards and one touchdown. Hoffman was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards. Morgan Frederick also helped out with an impressive 109 receiving yards.

The win made it two in a row for Cary-Grove and bumps their season record up to 11-4. As for McHenry, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-5.

As of now, neither Cary-Grove nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
