Baseball Recap: South Charleston Comes Up Short

South Charleston was the 14-2 winner over Capital when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Black Eagles lost 10-2 to the Cougars on Monday. The Black Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Charleston's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Capital, their victory bumped their record up to 5-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Charleston will face off against St. Joseph Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Capital, they will take on Poca at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.52 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
