Football Recap: E.E. Smith Takes a Loss + How To Watch

E.E. Smith came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 42-14 loss at the hands of the Terry Sanford Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Bulls of the 35-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Although E.E. Smith took the loss, they still got scores from Ethan Butler and Nick Smith.

Terry Sanford's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Moore, who rushed for 80 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 88 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Sebastian O'Keefe, who gained 91 total yards and two touchdowns.

E.E. Smith now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Terry Sanford, their victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. E.E. Smith will host Pine Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Terry Sanford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jack Britt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Buccaneers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
