Volleyball Recap: Armuchee Triumphs

Armuchee won the last time they faced Woodland and things went their way on Thursday too. The Indians walked away with a 2-0 win over the Wildcats.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Armuchee took both sets by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15.

Ansley Cordle paced Armuchee's offense, picking up 11 kills. Cordle got some help from Ava Grace Crump and her 11 assists. Ella Dehart and Emma Peschel kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Armuchee's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Woodland, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Armuchee will challenge Temple at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Woodland, they will take on Gordon Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
