Recap: Arlington Admirals vs. Carmel Rams
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Arlington Admirals, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 49-34 bruising from Carmel on Saturday. Arlington's loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.
Arlington's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Michael Rescigno, who threw for 327 yards and four touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Lavello, who picked up 165 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
It was another big night for Tristan Cash Werlau, who rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns. Cash Werlau really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run. Christian Nunez was another key contributor, throwing for 108 yards and two touchdowns.
Arlington's defeat dropped their record down to 10-1. As for Carmel, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Arlington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Carmel will take on Shenendehowa at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Shenendehowa is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
