Baseball Game Preview: Lincoln Hornets vs. Morse Tigers

Lincoln is 0-10 against Morse since March of 2019 but things could change on Saturday. Lincoln will face off against Morse at 5:00 p.m. Lincoln will be strutting in after a victory while Morse will be coming in after a defeat.

Lincoln took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Mar Vista with a sharp 8-1 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Hornets as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Morse fell victim to West Hills and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Wolf Pack, falling 11-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Tigers were not able to get on the board.

Morse has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That lines up perfectly with their 1-4-1 record this season. Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Lincoln couldn't quite get it done against Morse in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 10-5. Can Lincoln avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
