Calhoun won the last time they faced Braxton County and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Calhoun Red Devils snuck past the Braxton County Eagles with a 36-30 win.

Braxton County's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bailey Pritt, who posted 11 points and four steals. That's the most steals Pritt has posted since back in January of 2024. Avah Mollohan was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Calhoun has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Braxton County, they dropped their record down to 5-11 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Calhoun has already played their next match, a 69-44 defeat against Tyler on the 13th. As for Braxton County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-27 loss against Wirt County on the 13th.
