Basketball Game Preview: Enumclaw Hornets vs. Timberline Blazers

The Enumclaw Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Timberline Blazers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Hornets on Friday. Enumclaw walked away with a 77-68 win over White River.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Timberline, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Lakes by a score of 70-58 on Saturday.

Timberline's win came from a few key players Enumclaw will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Josh Tichenor, who posted 18 points and six assists. Damari Evans was another key player, going 8 for 14 on his way to 20 points.

Timberline smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 14 consecutive matches.

Timberline pushed their record up to 13-11 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points over those games. As for Enumclaw, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Enumclaw ended up a good deal behind Timberline in their previous matchup back in December of 2015, losing 64-50. Can Enumclaw avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
