Football Recap: East Aces vs. West Pioneers
With a playoff game on the line, East rose to the challenge on Friday. They claimed a resounding 63-20 win over the West Pioneers. Considering the Aces have won six matches by more than 42 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Micah Fiscus, who threw for 125 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Deandre Rogers Jr, who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown.
East has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 55.4 points. As for West, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
East will head out on the road to face off against Dodge City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dodge City will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something East surely won't give up without a fight. West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
