Basketball Game Preview: Crofton Warriors vs. Norfolk Catholic Knights

Crofton is 1-9 against Norfolk Catholic since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Crofton Warriors just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Norfolk Catholic Knights at 6:45 p.m. Norfolk Catholic took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Crofton, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Crofton turned things around against Creighton on Friday. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 55-45. The score was all tied up 29-29 at the break, but the Warriors were the better team in the second half.

Trevor Allen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Jackson, who posted 13 points.

Meanwhile, Norfolk Catholic came up short against Scotus on Tuesday and fell 46-38. The game marked the Knights' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Crofton will have to contain Max Hammond as he made an impact in Norfolk Catholic's last game. He went 7 of 11 en route to 17 points. Hayden Kelley was another key player, posting seven points.

Norfolk Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Crofton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-10.

Crofton suffered a grim 61-38 defeat to Norfolk Catholic in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Crofton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
