Paxton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell victim to a rough 13-3 loss at the hands of the Jay Royals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Paxton of the 14-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March.
Emily Ward made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-2 with three RBI and a double. Another player making a difference was Ryleigh Miller, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.
On Jay's side, Brett Watson and Morgan Barrow did most of the damage at the plate: Watson went 3-for-4 with four RBI and a run, while Barrow scored three runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Nelson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
