Volleyball Recap: Ruidoso Takes a Loss

Ruidoso and Cobre squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Ruidoso had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Indians. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost three in a row.

Madison 'Madi' Lutterman paced Ruidoso's offense, picking up four kills. Lutterman got some help from Talyn Ramos and her five assists. Finally, Lutterman was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Ruidoso's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Cobre, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

Ruidoso didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Santa Fe Prep on the 14th. As for Cobre, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Sandia Prep on the 14th.
