Johnson has gone a perfect 6-0 against Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Johnson Warriors will venture away from home to face off against the Valley Vikings at 6:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Johnson took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-20, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Burbank, falling 3-0.

Valley was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-11, 26-24.

Johnson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Johnson took their win against Valley in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Johnson since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
