Basketball Recap: Poinciana Christian Preparatory Takes a Loss

Poinciana Christian Preparatory was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 75-69 heartbreaker at the hands of the Faith Christian Lions.

Leading Faith Christian to victory were Omarion Mason and Josiah Brown. Mason dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 boards, while Brown went 6 for 12 en route to 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. Those 13 boards gave Mason a new career-high. Elijah Nickerson was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Poinciana Christian Preparatory's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Faith Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Poinciana Christian Preparatory does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Faith Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-40 win against New Dimensions on the 25th.
