Soccer Recap: Southwest Takes a Loss

Southwest lost against Homestead back in November of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Southwest Eagles fell just short of the Homestead Broncos by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 421st, while the Broncos are ranked 143rd).

Southwest's goal came courtesy of Victor Olivares, who's now up to three this season.

Southwest's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Homestead, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 6-1-3.

Southwest wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 7-0 victory against Sunset on the 10th. Homestead has also already played their next contest, a 9-2 win against Edison on the 10th.
