Princeton proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 24) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged the Byron Tigers out 53-51. The win was familiar territory for Princeton who have now won five games in a row.

Princeton's victory bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Byron, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Princeton will host Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Byron, they will be playing at home against Rockford Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rockford Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Byron likes a good challenge.
