Recap: Carson Cougars vs. East Rowan Mustangs
The Carson Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against East Rowan, falling 47-8. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Carson has scored all season.
Brooklyn Mcbride was Carson's leading scorer, having posted three points.
Caylee Sheets held things down on the boards with nine rebounds.
Carson dropped their record down to 1-16 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road. As for East Rowan, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.
Carson will head out on the road to face off against Central Cabarrus at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Cabarrus presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Carson in North Carolina (Central Cabarrus is ranked 232nd, while Carson is ranked 536th). As for East Rowan, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against West Rowan at 6:00 p.m. West Rowan is coming into the match hot, having won their last 13 games.
