Basketball Game Preview: Deerfield Demons vs. Palmyra-Eagle Panthers

The Deerfield Demons will head out on the road to challenge the Palmyra-Eagle Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Deerfield is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 16 games.

Last Friday, Deerfield blew past Williams Bay, posting a 69-35 victory. The Demons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Palmyra-Eagle came up short against Lake Country Classical Academy on Saturday and fell 60-52.

Deerfield pushed their record up to 20-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.4 points over those games. As for Palmyra-Eagle, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.

Deerfield strolled past Palmyra-Eagle when the teams last played back in January by a score of 52-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Deerfield since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
