Basketball Recap: St. Brendan Sabres vs. Killian Cougars
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the St. Brendan Sabres walked away with it. They breezed by the Cougars on the road to the tune of 68-7 on Monday. St. Brendan has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 21 points or more this season.
St. Brendan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaden Castro out in front who scored 19 points. Castro hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Sofia Toro was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
St. Brendan has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for Killian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
St. Brendan's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Raiders at 3:00 p.m. on February 8th. Gulliver Prep will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Killian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
