Volleyball Recap: Western Boone's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Western Boone was the 2-0 winner over Hamilton Heights when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Stars fell 2-0 to the Huskies on Saturday. The loss put an end to the Stars' undefeated start to the season.

While Western Boone had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21.

Their offense was headlined by Emily Shepherd and Emmerson Gott, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Kenleigh Raby and her 16 assists. Isabel Adams controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Western Boone fell to 3-1. As for Hamilton Heights, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Western Boone wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Mt. Vernon on the 23rd. As for Hamilton Heights, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Logansport on the 23rd.
