Percy Julian's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Carver Montgomery Wolverines. The win continues a trend for the Phoenix in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won six in a row.

Z Gantt was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. She also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season. M Haston was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Percy Julian's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Carver Montgomery, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Percy Julian will venture away from home to challenge Stanhope Elmore at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Phoenix are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Carver Montgomery, they will head out to take on Selma at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Saints have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.73 runs per game on average), something the Wolverines will no doubt try to take advantage of.
