Northeast waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders 42-39.

Northeast's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nykeria Flowers, who went 8-for-11 on her way to 19 points and seven boards. What's more, Flowers also posted a 73% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's posted since back in November of 2024. Ya'Niyah Young was another key player, going 5-for-7 en route to 13 points and six rebounds.

St. Thomas Aquinas' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sara Lee Blair, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 16 boards. Blair is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted three or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was London Thomas, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds.

Northeast's victory bumped their record up to 23-2. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.

Northeast wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 73-8 win against Dr. Joaquin Garcia on the 6th. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, they have also already played their next contest, a 77-45 victory against South Plantation on the 6th.
