Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Martin Luther). They put the hurt on the Jefferson J-Hawks with a sharp 19-11 victory on Saturday. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

The win (which was Martin Luther's third in a row) raised their record to 11-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Jefferson, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19.

Martin Luther will have a chance to go back-to-back against the J-Hawks: the pair will be back at it again later today.
