Volleyball Recap: The Colony Cougars vs. Lone Star Rangers

The Colony was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Lone Star Rangers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-13, 25-14.

Amaya Jones paced The Colony's offense, picking up seven kills. Jones got some help from Teagan Hubbard and her 20 assists. Finally, Turner Gonzalez and Jaden Jackson kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked three attacks.

Leading Lone Star to victory were Kaitlyn Smith and Tilah Perez. Smith had 14 assists and seven digs, while Perez had seven digs and two aces. That's the most aces Perez has posted since back in August.

The Colony's defeat dropped their record down to 8-22. As for Lone Star, their victory bumped their record up to 15-10.
