Basketball Game Recap: Union Star Trojans vs. Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt]

Union Star was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 70-20 to Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt], which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Trojans were probably out for revenge after losing 58-14 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Union Star's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-7. As for Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt], their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Union Star will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rock Port at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt], they will head out on the road to face off against South Holt at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
