Volleyball Recap: Academy of Science and Innovation's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Academy of Science and Innovation can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Jets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in April.

Academy of Science and Innovation never let Academy of Aerospace and Engineering on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-10, 25-22.

Jeremiah Boakye paced Academy of Science and Innovation's offense, picking up six kills. Boakye got some help from Demareon Taylor and his 14 assists. Taylor was also solid from the service line: he led the team with eight aces.

Academy of Science and Innovation's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Academy of Aerospace and Engineering, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Academy of Science and Innovation will be playing in front of their home fans against Civic Leadership at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Ravens are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Academy of Aerospace and Engineering does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
