Basketball Recap: CrossPointe Christian Academy Comes Up Short

CrossPointe Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 68-59 to the Skipstone Academy Warriors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-50 back in December of 2024.

Scooter Barkley was his usual excellent self, putting up 38 points for Skipstone Academy. Barkley's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Nick Cloud was another key player, posting 12 points.

CrossPointe Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Skipstone Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Central Christian the next time they take the court. Skipstone Academy will head out to face Central Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while CrossPointe Christian Academy will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
