Basketball Recap: Horizon Christian Comes Up Short

Horizon Christian lost against Valley Catholic back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The match between the Horizon Christian Hawks and the Valley Catholic Valiants didn't end well, with the Horizon Christian Hawks falling 65-51.

Horizon Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Valley Catholic, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.

Horizon Christian and Valley Catholic could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings. Horizon Christian (ranked 147th) will meet Portland Adventist Academy (ranked 39th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Valley Catholic will challenge Westside Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday down 49 places (53 vs. 4).
