Softball Game Preview: Bay Path RVT Minutemen vs. Hudson Hawks

Bay Path RVT is 0-3 against Hudson since June of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Minutemen will face off against the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Bay Path RVT has given up an average of 7.9 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bay Path RVT managed to slip by Tri-County RVT the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Minutemen came up short against the Cougars on Monday, falling 14-2. The Minutemen's defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Bay Path RVT saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aliyah Gonyea, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Hudson and Tyngsborough meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Hawks lost 10-2 to the Tigers. The game marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Bay Path RVT's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Hudson, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-5.

Bay Path RVT couldn't quite get it done against Hudson when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 9-5. Can the Minutemen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
