Basketball Recap: Hamilton Piles Up the Points Against Clark County

A well-balanced attack led Hamilton over Clark County in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Hamilton Cardinals blew the Clark County Indians out of the water with a 64-34 final score. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 138th in Illinois, while the Indians are ranked 429th in Missouri), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hamilton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jadyn Climer out in front who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards. Climer has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more rebounds the last ten times she's played. Grace Grothaus was another key player, going 6 of 11 on her way to 16 points.

Hamilton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Hamilton's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. As for Clark County, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Hamilton has already played their next match (against Moline), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Clark County has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Highland.
