Noble & Greenough had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Buckingham Browne & Nichols Knights a 3-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-2 two weeks ago.

The team relied heavily on Mac Bianchi, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Keegan Crowe, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Noble & Greenough's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Buckingham Browne & Nichols, their loss dropped their record down to 10-11-2.
