Basketball Recap: Imagine Prep Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Imagine Prep had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.4 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Monday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 73-41 win over Dream City Christian. The Storm have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 24 points or more this season.

Imagine Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dylan Eaddy out in front who went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. Eaddy has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times he's played. Jaylen Cassidy was another key player, putting up nine points along with eight rebounds and six steals.

Imagine Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Dream City Christian, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Imagine Prep won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Skyline Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Skyline Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Imagine Prep likes a good challenge. As for Dream City Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th.
