Game recap: St. Patrick High School Football Team tops Tekonsha

PORTLAND, Mich. - St. Patrick (Portland, Mich.) beat Tekonsha (Mich.) 48-6 thanks to dual threat quarterback Joe Mackowiak, who threw two touchdown passes while running for two more.

After taking the lead on a John Carley touchdown run in the first quarter, the Shamrocks were up 42-6 at the half.

A 22-point first quarter set the table for St. Patrick, who coasted the rest of the way for the victory.

St. Patrick's most effective player was Mackowiak. He has now scored 11 touchdowns on the season.

Tekonsha's lone touchdown came on a 2-yard run in the second quarter.



The win brought St. Patrick's winning streak to four games. The loss was the fourth in a row for the Indians.

St. Patrick (4-0) will play a Southern Michigan (8 Man) game against Burr Oak next week, while Tekonsha (0-4) will take on Litchfield also in a Southern Michigan (8 Man) game.
