Softball Recap: Roncalli Takes a Loss

Roncalli came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-3 to the New Holstein Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-1 back in April.

Emily Schultz was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Roncalli's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for New Holstein, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Roncalli wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-1 loss against Kiel on the 15th. As for New Holstein, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Two Rivers on the 15th.
