Central Valley extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 5-4. They enjoyed a cozy 23-7 win over the Hopewell Vikings. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

As for Hopewell, they moved to 6-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. They were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the three matchups prior), but Central Valley's defense proved too tough.

Despite the loss, Hopewell saw an underclassman step up: sophomore James Armstrong rushed for 80 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries, and also threw for 193 yards on 14 of 25 attempts.

Central Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 35-31 victory against North Hills on the 24th. As for Hopewell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 44-36 defeat against North Catholic on the 24th.
