Basketball Recap: Edgewood-Colesburg Comes Up Short

If Edgewood-Colesburg was feeling good fresh off their 68-31 takedown of Starmont two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Edgewood-Colesburg Vikings were outmatched by the Springville Orioles and fell 82-47. The Vikings lost against the Orioles in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 65-53 score last time.

Edgewood-Colesburg's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-5. As for Springville, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Edgewood-Colesburg will venture away from home to challenge Alburnett at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Springville, they will challenge North Linn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Linn will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Springville surely won't give up without a fight.
