Basketball Recap: Avant Garde Academy Extends Winning Streak to Four

Avant Garde Academy put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 66-46 margin over the Scheck Hillel Community School Lions. The Sharks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Avant Garde Academy to victory were Xavier Jackson and Landon Guzman. Jackson posted 18 points, while Guzman put up 15 points. The contest was Jackson's third in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nikko Andino, who had seven points.

Avant Garde Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Scheck Hillel Community School, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Avant Garde Academy and Sports Leadership & Management will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. As for Scheck Hillel Community School, they will head out to square off against Katz Yeshiva at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
