After only two runs in their last matchup, Columbia made sure to put some runs up on the board against Ichabod Crane on Thursday. The Blue Devils walked away with a 12-8 win over the Riders. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Riders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Hunter Scott tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits.

At the plate, Ascher Melino was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Andrew Mocerine, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Columbia's record is now 4-2. As for Ichabod Crane, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Columbia will be playing in front of their home fans against Mamaroneck at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ichabod Crane, they will head out to face off against Chatham at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
