Baseball Recap: Calvary Christian Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Calvary Christian can now relate to. They fell just short of the Bishop Verot Vikings by a score of 7-6 on Thursday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ashton Recore and Gabriel Campos stepped up to the plate in a big way. Recore went 2-for-3 with two RBI, while Campos went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Calvary Christian's loss dropped their record down to 29-5. As for Bishop Verot, their win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 32-2.

Calvary Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Verot, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-2 defeat against Miami Springs on the 19th.
