Baseball Recap: Lanphier Comes Up Short at Home Against Tri-City

Lanphier unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 16-8 to the Tri-City Tornadoes on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Carter Tucker was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Kane Baskett, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lanphier will square off against MacArthur at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tri-City, they will venture away from home to take on Argenta-Oreana at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
