Basketball Game Preview: South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls vs. Southwestern Randolph Cougars

Having just played yesterday, the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls will head out on the road to face off against the Southwestern Randolph Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. South Stanly will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, South Stanly didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Albemarle, but they still walked away with a 43-38 win.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Southwestern Randolph beat Providence Grove 58-53 on Tuesday.

Southwestern Randolph's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12. As for South Stanly, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

South Stanly came up short against Southwestern Randolph when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 45-39. Can South Stanly avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
