Soccer Game Preview: De La Salle vs. Reavis

The De La Salle Meteors will be taking part in a tournament against the Reavis Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

De La Salle is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Berwyn/Cicero Morton. De La Salle sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over Berwyn/Cicero Morton on Tuesday.

De La Salle hit Berwyn/Cicero Morton with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sophia Torres, Natalie Herrera, Sara Murray, and Sissi Loza.

Meanwhile, Reavis gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Crete-Monee a 3-0 shutout. The score was close at the half, but the Rams pulled away in the second half with two goals.
