Softball Recap: Lake Marion Comes Up Short

Lake Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 33-7 to the Edisto Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Tuesday.

Lake Marion saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dyneisha White, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Lake Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Edisto, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Lake Marion and Edisto will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Gators see the field they'll take on Branchville at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Edisto, their break will end when they face Colleton County at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
