Basketball Recap: Presbyterian Christian Bobcats vs. Madison-Ridgeland Academy Patriots
After flying high against Wayne Academy last Saturday, Presbyterian Christian came back down to earth. The Presbyterian Christian Bobcats fell 68-60 to the Madison-Ridgeland Academy Patriots on Tuesday. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.
Joshua Smith went supernova for Madison-Ridgeland Academy, going 8 of 11 en route to 19 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Erick Dampier, Jr., who went 5 of 6 on his way to 13 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Presbyterian Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Madison-Ridgeland Academy, they pushed their record up to 12-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing St. Joseph Catholic the next time they take the court. Madison-Ridgeland Academy will head out to face St. Joseph Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Presbyterian Christian will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
