Baseball Recap: Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles vs. Harmon Hawks

It was a Battle of the Birds when Maranatha Christian Academy challenged Harmon on Monday. The Eagles came up short against the Hawks, falling 19-8. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Chase Ingalsbe was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those stolen bases marked the first that he snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Auden Smail, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.

Maranatha Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Harmon, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, Maranatha Christian Academy will be playing at home against Kansas City Christian School at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Harmon, they will head out to face off against Sumner Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks are facing the Sabres at the right time seeing as the Sabres are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
